The NetDefend DFL-860 UTM Firewall features anti-virus protection to guard businesses, educational institutions and government organizations from external threats. It provides business class security integrated functions including an anti-virus gateway, firewall, load balance, fault tolerance, content filtering, user authentication, Denial of Service (DoS) protection, Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection and malicious internal traffic prevention.
The firewall scans traffic, detects/blocks viruses, worms and trojans, and filter URL. It is equipped with hardware-based accelerators to perform these extra functions, so CPU will not experience any performance degradation.
The firewall includes features to monitor and maintain a healthy and secure network, such as e-mail alerts, system logs and real time statistics. To protect against internal threats and minimize any impact of a disaster on an entire network, the firewall includes a feature called ZoneDefense, a mechanism, that operates seamlessly with D-Link LAN switches to automatically quarantine infected computers on the networks and prevent them from flooding the network with malicious traffic.
The firewall can be remotely managed via a web based interface or through a dedicated VPN connection. Multiple user configurable interfaces are provide to facilitate flexible deployment.
