Bring a true digital experience to your home theater with our fully digital Mini DisplayPort adapter. The Kanex iAdapt 51 supports 1080p video and digital audio for Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iMac. Combine high definition video and digital surround sound to create the ultimate home theater experience.

Automatic EDID and HDCP compliant
This cable has an auto–EDID feature built-in that adapts to maximum resolution depending on users display. If a user has a 720p HDTV, it will read the EDID and adjust Mini DisplayPort output automatically and vice versa for 1080i/1080p displays.

5.1 Surround Sound Audio
The iAdapt 51 provides digital surround sound for well-equipped Mac models released as early as 2008. Listen to your movies and music in surround sound. Supports uncompressed 5.1-channel audio such as LPCM and compressed 5.1 channel audio such as DTS Digital or Dolby Digital.

Mini DisplayPort meets HDMI
Connect your Mac with Mini DisplayPort to any HDMI HDTV or projector. Now you can break free from your single display and view your content on a high definition display.

USB-powered
Don't bother with cumbersome power supplies that take up space. The iAdapt 51 includes a USB connector for power. It's even equipped with a red LED light to let you know it's on and working. Plug and play is easy!
